"Large Munsterlander in spring"

The spring is coming, the snowdrops are out, and Lex is totally disinterested!! Lex does not mind the weather, she is on a mission!!!!!!!!!! Well, truth be told Lex is always in a hurry, and never stops to apppreciate the scenery! Lex, is one of our own six Large Munsterlanders.

I took Pat's stuff over to her house in a box, Pat did manage to get her stuff out of it - before the puppies got in it.................. they seem to think great fun! bit like kids really, always find the packaging and big boxes fascinating. See - my favourite still there!! (just have to keep including her!!)

This is Jesse, a Large Munsterlander in the Netherlands, owned by Cindy de Wolf, and illustrating that Munsters are the same the world over in some respects - they do like to be comfortable!! but they are NOT the breed for the couch potato, without the exercise you do not get the relaxation!!!

These are the two bitch puppies of the current litter of Ichbin's. The one on the left hand side is sold, but looks as though wants to take her little sister with her, a very close pair!! Unfortunately, the one on the right is my personal favourite, the temptation just won't go away!!
Can you detect a slight green tinge to the white? that is because they have all been tattooed, and have managed to make a mess of themselves with the ink!!

This is a portable crate, bought for me as a Christmas pressie, very handy for taking to training classes, or just for overnight visitors, dog ones that is, not the human variety - but then suppose would make an interesting "travel cot" so anyone thinking of visiting me with children in tow - beware........... of the dogs!!!

Rumour's look says it all - Brook is pushing in again!! The favourite seat during the day, this is the bed under the window in the computer room. The bean bag had been thrown on there temporarily and Brook thought she would make use of it!! Rumour seems to be thinking "stupid little dog!"

Rumour does not seem to be amused that Brook will not get out of the bed!! Rumour does go by the nicknames of Barbie dog or Princess, and clearly expects Brook, a mere interloper, to move out, Brook however, is determined to hang on in there!! Just look at Rumour's expression!!

This is Jenny and Pete Moore's Large Munsterlander bitch, Visa, on the estuary out near their home. Visa is clearly enjoying herself running across the sand at low tide, love the shadow on the water, and the feeling of space and action.

These two seem quite happy with one anothers company! Ella and Charm, two large Munsterlander bitches owned by Marie Spence. Obviously worn out with all the hype about Crufts and thinking they'd rather not bother!! Or perhaps just not keen on the current weather outdoors!! Then again, being Munsters, they've probably already been out and are just sleeping it off - in the best chair of course!!!

Oddly enough, we have another photo, (taken by the same photographer as did the "Lex" pic used last night), and Seven has adopted the same pose in that one too!!

On Friday 3rd March we published the pic of her winning Best Bitch in breed, last year at Crufts - Good job she is not entered this year!!!

This photo was taken this week at Langold lake, near Worksop in Nottinghamshire. It is Sam and Sally, the two Large Munsterlanders belonging to Marie Price. Sally, who is a "Rescue" is looking very puzzled as to why the water is "solid"......... and wondering if too cold to try it out. Sam just seems to be saying "what shall we do?" Two lovely looking dogs, and a nice wintry scene for you all!!

This was Crufts 2005, Rumour, (to the right of the picture) was Best Bitch, gaining her 3rd CC and Show Champion Title. Devon, or Show Champion Yeldoaks Hot Toddy J.W., (to the left of the picture) was Best Dog and Best of Breed. Rumour will not be going to Crufts this year, but I think Devon will be - and we wish him all the best!! Also in the picture was last year's Judge for Large Munsterlanders - Rosemary Weaver, of the Thaxmead affix.

As is a cold and horrible day outside today for many of us thought would use a fun pic! This is Ester, in Sweden, (note - I have deliberately not used a picture taken in the snow!!!) Here she is doing her own impersonation of a big baby!!! Ester was always the "sweetie" in that litter.

These puppies are now almost 4 weeks old, and growing up fast! Play hard, then collapse............ I was once told Munsterlanders puppies have only two speeds, flat out, or clapped out...........
