"and another with a buoyancy aid"

Same toy and more water? Different dog anyway! This is Sadie, a Large Munsterlander bitch belonging to Jean Makins. This picture was actually used on the front of one of the Large Munsterlander Rescue calendars for 2006. (This picture was on the "Supporters Dogs" version). This week we will feature Jean's dogs, to see more of her dogs go to www.ichbinandelle.homestead.com and go to the community pages, and the members pages. Jean has three Large Munsterlanders, (although her page only shows two of them - perhaps after this week she may update her pages to show off and introduce the newest member !!) Sadie, her son, Jensen, and now Willow............ more of Jean's pics tomorrow.....

"He does have a ............"

Large Munsterlander Curtis DOES have a buoyancy aid toy - but he prefers to play with it at home! Surely no Munster would be seen in water with one? or would they? This is the last in the series, tonight we start with a new "family" of Large Munsterlanders........ who will it be? tune in tonight for the start of the new series... You can, of course, still see more of Christines dogs on her website, which is linked to her profile on Munstermag and Munster notes.

"any water will do"

A Large Munsterlander will happily make for water - any water - looks like these two of Christine Webers (yes I know, her again, but she will keep sending me good photos and tempting me!!) I wonder if they came out looking orange? a henna rinse perhaps? At least no-one can say Christines dogs are shy of water! I wonder if Curtis has a "buoyancy aid".......... see tomorrows pic perhaps!

"Talking of territory"

Large Munsterlanders Curtis and Mia seem a little surprised to find a brown head in the waters ahead. Hopefully the brown head is a little more than that - but they are going to look anyway.
I know I said "last in the series" yesterday, but could not resist this one. To see more of Christine's dogs, and pictures, please go to www.munstermag.homestead.com to the Munster notes and on through Christine's profile to her website. A little earlier than usual today, but been out at a show all day and want to switch off - in more ways than one!! Hope you enjoy this picture, and can see why I just had to use it..................

"Master of the Northern Territory?"

Large Munsterlander Curtis seems to be surveying his territory! I am sure he will not see anything to bother him, he seems pretty secure and confident, and rightly so. This will be the last photo in the series - for now - see more of Christines Large Munsterlanders via her website, go to the Munstermag, and Munster notes and follow through her profile to her website. Tomorrow should see someone elses photos - the question is - who will it be - or I might just stick with Curtis!!

"if you go down to the woods today"

Curtis and Mia enjoying a trip to the woods, not sure if hunting - both looking opposite directions, perhaps a case of "which way did she go? knew we should have kept an eye on her"
Again, very attractive scenery, very nice dogs, and a bit of sun, what more do you want? to see more of Christines Large Munsterlanders - go to the munstermag, munsternotes and follow Christine's profile through to her website.

"from pussycat to puppy dog"

Remember how the old Aunts and Grannies used to pass the baby photos around - and embarrass you years later? Well this is doing his street cred no good - from macho pose to impossibly cute - Curtis the Large Munsterlander - when he was small!! Another of Christine Webers favourite photos. See more of Christines photos and details via her webpage, access that via her profile on munstermag and the musternotes team.

"Pussycat really"

Not so much the macho image for Curtis today, sharing the bed with Zelli - Christine's cat. See more of Christine's pets on her webpage, which you can access via her profile on the Munstermag munsternotes. I wonder if he dried off before he hit the bed? He seems very content - and what is Zelli doing with that paw - cleaning it to take a swipe if he hogs (dogs!) the bed.......

"Magnificent Munsterlander"

Very film star pose, all macho and magnificent, quite an "artistic" kind of photo. This is Curtis again, that Large Munsterlander, owned, loved and bred by Christine Weber, see more of Christine's dogs on her website, go to the munstermag, and munster notes and see her profile and follow through to her webpage. You have to admit IS a very good photo.

"one munster leads to another"

Strange thing, Large Munsterlanders seem to be addictive! Here Curtis is joined by Mia, another of those Large Munsterlanders owned by Christine Weber, see more of her dogs on her website, go to the Munstermag, and Munster notes and follow through her profile. At least Curtis found more than just a puddle for Mia to push into................ I wonder if they caught any fish?

"Munsterlanders love"

Curtis a lovely Large Munsterlander belonging to Christine Weber, seen here playing in the North Sea!! Water, any water, from sea to muddy puddles, just attracts Munsterlanders! See more of Christine's dogs via the Munstermag and Munster Notes - see Christines profile and follow the link to her webpage.

"Visa"

Last in the series (for now) of Jenny and Petes Large Munsterlanders Cash and Visa. This is Visa out on a run, looking ready to be a gundog? The Large Munsterlander Breed Standard is apparently being altered to include "giving tongue" .....................

"Who needs crampons?"

. . . . . but mini Munster Marli says, "No, it's easy peasy!"
Trust the girls to show how it's done!

"Wot, no crampons?"

Large Munsterlander Dylan thinks, "That's a bit steep!"

"Ready . . . steady . . . "

Sharon's three Munsterlanders all sitting waiting patiently for permission to jump in (after all that wallowing in mud I would send them in quick!!)

See more about Sharon's Munsters on her large Munsterlander Community page on the ichbinandelle website. See links.

"Dylan again!"

Is it a large munsterlander? If he took time to look down at the puddle he is crossing, he would see for himself

"Marli muscles in"

. . . and typical Marli - she has to come in and muscle Dylan out so she can have the puddle - not much mud left - all on their coats! Typical munsterlander!

Photos from Sharon Miller and her Large Munsterlanders, all taken by photographer Brian Eastgate. More about Sharon's dogs on her Large Munsterlander Community page on the ichbinandelle website. See links.

"Dylan"

Of course when Dylan wants to roll - even though he has less white bits than Floyd to cover - he likes a nice muddy puddle to make a good job of things!

Saturday, October 08, 2005

"Floyd again"

. . and after a bit of hunting we will have a nice roll in someone else's scent!! Camouflage my white bits!!

More of Sharon's Large Munsterlanders on her Large Munsterlander Community page at ichbinandelle website. See links.

"Floyd in the thick of it!"

Well, they do say Munsterlanders are 'able to flush game in thick cover'. Do not think ground cover gets much thicker - unless talking about in our back garden!!

"Flying Munsterlanders!"

Continuing with Sharon's Munsterlanders -
Sharon must have called them, more like flying dogs, feet not touching the ground and ears like Dumbos.

"Return of the Poser"

More of photos from Sharon and her Large Munsterlanders.

Marli tried to steal the limelight, but there is no keeping a good poser down. Here is Dylan posing for the camera again.

You can see more of Sharon's Munsterlanders in her page on the Large Munsterlander Community of the ichbinandelle website. See links.

"The Poser"

Here we go with a series of training work photos from Sharon Miller and her Large Munsterlanders, all taken by photographer Brian Eastgate (what a hero trudging around the woods on his day off just to get some photos for us all - I hope you appreciate them!!)
First one is Dylan, who, like his brother Zeb, is a bit of a poser!!

To bring us up to date . .

The previous posts were just a few of the 'archives' from the Daily Dog feature. The next ones will be the start of the present set of photos of the Large Munsterlanders belonging to Community member sharon Miller.
