"fun and frolics"

More of Keira, the Large Munsterlander belonging to Chris Hills, and her pal, Jenna the lab., they both look very happy splashing about in the water - although Keira does seem to be generating more of a splash than Jenna. Another "feel good" picture in the series.................

"Life's a beach"

Again Large Munsterlander Keira and some stunning scenery!! no wonder she looks so happy! another photo to remind us of sunnier days and summer holidays................ We are hoping to feature Keira, and a story of her holiday, in the next edition of FORUM - due out early March.

"Looking out to sea"

Chris Hills Munsterlander, Keira, seem to be either admiring the view, or wondering if those sails in the distance are worth chasing - or just thinking how do I get to the beach from here?
whichever, she seems entranced - and it is a very picturesque shot. Blue sea, and brilliant blue sky - mid winter now and I feel the need for blue skies!! Sea, Sun and a Munsterlander - what more do you need in life?

"Off again"

Here we have another photo of Keira, again on the move! this time with companion Jenna, the black lab., wonder if Keira leads Jenna into mischief? I think this is the first Munster that Chris Hills has had - I hope he will tell us how he feels they compare? Keira certainly seems to be leading the way! another lovely photo - even Katie was impressed by this batch!!

"let's take it easy for a minute"

After all that racing about, and rummaging through the undergrowth, Keira, the Large Munsterlander belonging to Chris Hills, is taking a relaxing break - and just look at the length of that tongue.............. "all the better for giving tongue grandmama" she is certainly typical of the breed. More of Keira tomorrow, and I promise to include Jenna the Labrador this time.........

Friday, November 25, 2005

"Rough Cover?"

Perhaps this is why Keira the Large Munsterlander was going so fast? in search of the "rough cover" that Munsterlanders seem to love so much, and yes she has her mouth open - ready to "give tongue?" another photo by Chris Hills of his Large Munsterlander Keira,
more tomorrow........ I think I had intended to use one of Keira and her friend Jenna, the labrador, today, but saw this pic and could not resist.........

"so fast"

What a fantastic photo, the speed of the dog - yet so clear - perhaps when on Munsternotes blog we were discussing cameras we were all asking the wrong person, we should have been asking Chris Hills, the owner of Keira the large Munsterlander pictured above!! I wish I could take photos like this one! but when I have tried action shots in the past - I seem to miss the target! I hope you all agree this is a stunning photo and the dog looks so fit and healthy! and happy!!!!

"sitting pretty"

Here she is - sitting pretty - Keira the Large Munsterlander proudly owned by Chris Hills, he commented on what a good idea the Daily Dog Blog was (another of Katie's many ideas I have to admit) but then asked the question "why do most of the munster photo's involve water or mud?????????" because is the nature of the beast - or breed!!! One or two of you did guess who she was! or near enough, guessed her lines............... more photos of Keira - and her friend - tomorrow.....

"let us have a look at you"

A clearer picture of yesterdays subject - and quite a funny one! she seems quite curious as to what is going on! I know I gave you the link yesterday, and I hope some of you checked it out - so who can tell me - what is the name of the Munsterlander above - the pedigree name please!! She does have two litter sisters that are shown (and in my opinion she should be!) ............. I will not publish the name (unless her owner specifically requests that I do!) but I will tell those of you who are interested if you are right - or wrong!!!!!!!!!!

"Poetry in Motion"?"

This pic is by Chris Hill, a keen amateur photographer and a munster owner! also a very nice man, when I mentioned wanting some new photos for cards, including a sympathy card, he went out of his way on holiday to try and find "just" the photo, watch out for it next year when we produce our new range of cards......... Just love this photo, the water droplets, and the sheer speed and elegance of the dog.. Why don't my photos ever look like this....... to see more of his pics go to http://home.btconnect.com/Alcontrol/id1.html or tune in this week for more of his photos.

"Just messing about . . ."

Here's Val and Roger Perman's Molly again, with her friend Tiger, enjoying a Munsterlander's favourite passtime - messing about in the river! This time taken by Val.
Bet they were really affectionate afterwards, too!

More of Molly and Tiger in Readers Gallery on Munster Mag.

"Pause for thought"

A lovely clear photo of Val and Roger Perman's Large Munsterlander, Molly, taken by Roger. This great closeup came from a good old-fashioned slide, made into a digital photo.
She looks very pensive - wonder what she was thinking about?

You can read more about Molly, and her friend Tiger, on Munster Mag in the Readers Gallery, and there will be another photo of her tomorrow.

"Make a Splash"

This is a very old photograph that Jean Makins sent us when we first set out to produce a series of cards for Large Munsterlander Rescue. It maybe old, with dogs probably long gone to doggy heaven, but it is a lovely picture. ANYone who has any pictures that they think may make a suitable greetings card - we would appreciate your help, and photos. We hope to produce a new range of cards for 2006, and don't forget we can always do bespoke cards! Check out the card shop on Munstermag's Munster Market......... phew! what a mouthful!!

The numbers are very limited at the moment, we hope to introduce a new range in the New Year. Anyone with any pictures to contribute? Look forward to hearing from you!!

"from the bottom of the sea"

To the top of the World - well the top of the Malvern Hills anyway!! Large Munsterlander Jensen seems proud to have reached the monument. Quite an achievement and well worth it as some fantastic views up there - and of course Jensen is pretty handsome too. Jensen belongs to Jean Makins. To see more of her photos - you could always buy some of the Large Munsterlander Rescue cards - quite a few of Jean's pics are featured............

"He got the hang of it"

Large Munsterlanders Sadie and Jensen, Mother and Son, swimming in the sea by their home town. Despite his early attempts at the doggy paddle Jensen soon found his water wings - or a big stick!! Another photo of Jean's dogs. To see more of Jean's dogs tune in tomorrow, or see her page on the community section of www.ichbinandelle.homestead.com

"Not quite a Water Baby"

Large Munsterlander puppy - Jensen - seems to find his first experience of the sea a little daunting!! Seemed to prefer the beach combing bit! however, all Munsterlanders love water really - just that perhaps this was a little too much too soon for Jensen's liking!! Perhaps he thinks it is better not to look - or just does not like the water in his eyes? Just another photo in the series of Jean's dogs............... see more of Jensen, and pals, tomorrow.

"Beach Baby"

For Large Munsterlander puppy Jensen the seaside is an everyday thing, Jensen and owner Jean Makins live by the sea! Here is Jensen doing a spot of beachcombing, apparently he and Jean, along with Sadie and Willow are experts at this - so I am told!! amazing the kind of things that can be found washed up on the beach! and not just litter!! To see more of Jean's dogs keep watching this week, or view her, soon to be updated, pages on the www.ichbinandelle.homestead.com community site.

"What's that?"

Another pic of Large Munsterlander Beecham on his holiday, investigating the seashore. Wonder what he found.

You can see more photos of Beecham, taken by Sue Wood, on the Holiday photo competition winners pages of the Munster Mag.

"Run, Beecham!"

"Oops! It's chasing me!" Beecham on his holiday, having a bit of trouble with the waves.
This is a photo from another entry Sue Wood sent in to the Munstermag holiday photo competition. You can see her other entry on the mag winners pages.

"Brilliant White"

Either is taken in very bright sunshine or Jean Makins has been washing Large Munsterlander Willow with Glo-white!! Perhaps Willow is looking for some camouflage? For those of you who do not (yet!) have a Large Munsterlander they are born white with black patches, the flecks and ticking come through later - Willow is now five months old, or so I am told! and Jean says the flecks are there and will come through soon.................... meanwhile - Willow is rather - all white!! Seems Katie (Munstermag) is quite taken with her anyway! You can be assured Jeans pages will soon be updated - as Katie has taken a shine to this one!!

"Who wouldn't?"

This is Willow, the Large Munsterlander puppy Jean Makins has recently added to her family. She looks so cute - how could the others not love her?? She seems to be asking why no one wants to play with her! or join her on the settee? Willow will soon be at shows with Jean and Sadie, whilst Jensen gets to do a bit of "male bonding" with Dad. What a life eh? See more of Jean's dogs this week, and also see them on her page on the www.ichbinandelle.homestead.com community section.

"Everyone Loves"

Obviously a struggle to see which of Jean Makins' dogs gets to sit the closest! or on top of in the case of Jensen. Mind you - men seem to be oblivious, as long as can see the TV seems to be ok! new pup Willow seems to be on the end, with Sadie in the middle, and Jensen sort of "perched" who's a pretty boy then!! To see more of Jeans dogs see her "soon to be updated" page on the community within www.ichbinandelle.homestead.com

"Somebody Loves Me!"

Jean Makins Munsterlander pup, Willow, the other dogs did not seem impressed but Dad looks besotted - as much as can tell as Jean seems to have "cropped" his head off!! Isn't she white? looks as though not been "used" yet - a few muddy puddles will soon sort that out - usually just before due to go in show ring!! Altogether now - aaaaaaaaaaaaghhhhhhhhhhhhh isn't she sweet! To see more of Jeans dogs go to her page on the Ichbinandelle community site. Willow is not on there yet - but am sure will be soon.

"Introducing................ "

Introducing the "new girl" to the pack, a photo of five large munsterlanders belonging to Jean Makins and Sharon Miller. Willow is the young white one at the front of the picture - but each of the other four Large Munsterlanders seem to be looking anywhere but at the puppy!! (Don't look at it folks - it might go away!) from Left to Right, Sadie, looking up in the air, Floyd, looking to the right, Marli, staring ahead, and Dylan, looking to the left!! Only Willow seems to be looking at the camera.......... More of Willow, and Sadie, not forgetting Jensen, this week in our series of photos of Jean Makins Munsters.

"He'll never fit through there!"

Is it a cat?? No, it's a Large Munsterlander! It's Danny again, belonging to Claire Scott. Doesn't he look sweet - but hope he didn't get stuck!

You can see more of Danny on his Holiday photo competition page on Munster Mag.
Well, I got back into Daily dog for the weekend - now it's over to Jo and Elle again.

"Some Munsters will eat anything!"

What has he got in his mouth? Apparently it's a spider! Though there's not much left of it, now, according to his Mum, Claire Scott.

You can see more of large Munsterlander Danny at the moment, on his 'Holiday' photo competition page on the Munster Mag.

"Train them young"

We always advise Large Munsterlander owners to socialise their puppies from the earliest possible time. Jean Makins, young Jensen's owner, certainly believes in that!! have vet bed will travel - this is Jensen on the pub table enjoying a bit of early socialisation!! More of Jean's dogs next week.................... in particular - the new edition to the Makins family - Willow.
Katie will be doing the weekend "daily dog" spot. I shall have to tune in myself to see who it will be!!

"After all that exercise"

After walking across the Malvern Hills Large Munsterlander Jensen enjoys a quiet drink at the local pub... As discussed on Munsterlander Notes recently - one magazine suggested this was the "ideal dog for a stroll to the pub" - just do not think the magazine realised the dogs insist on taking a long route round AND via a few puddles. To see more of Jean's dogs go to www.ichbinandelle.homestead.com/jean_m.html her page has not been updated yet - but we do have the pics.............. so coming soon - the new addition.

"Fantastic View"

Large Munsterlander Jensen admires the view. A view not many showgoers get to see as this is taken from up on the Malvern Hills, the showground is way down there in the valley. Sadie was at the show, and Jensen came along for the weekend away, but I reckon he got the best deal! A long walk in the hills with "Dad" whilst Jean showed Sadie. That's what being a real dog is all about!! To see more of Jeans dogs see her page on the www.ichbinandelle.homestead.com and the community members pages. See Jean's dogs all this week on this spot.............

"Splashing time"

Lovely weather and two lovely Munsters. Sadie and Jensen, belonging to Jean Makins enjoying a trip to the beach. Jensen seems to have possession of the stick - but for how long! To see more of Jean's dogs see her page on www.ichbinandelle.homestead.com and the community pages.
