"Large Munsterlander Loony toon"

This is Lexa, one of our Large Munsterlanders, Lex is - well Lex!! Full on, loud, in your face, and into everything.......... she is obsessed with the pampas grass out in our garden, and tries to climb up into it!! having said that - she can be the most obedient of the lot. A real contradiction in terms! but like every Munsterlander - a character!!

Sorry Folks, hope the title was not too misleading! We have not learnt the secret of controlling a Munsterlander Puppy!! However, Rumour seems to have developed her own technique! a young Brook (underneath!!) does not think much to the idea......

"Munsterlander Showgirl"

Rumour again, this time looking more like our Showgirl!! This was taken, by Jo, at Leeds Championship show 2004, when Rumour took the BCC., Having been a working girl this winter her featherings are looking a little less luxurious!

This is our Large Munsterlander Rumour! Otherwise known as the "Barbie" (or she was before she took up Gundog work) Rumour will hold, or carry, anything! This is a bag Jenny Moore sent for Rumour - so she could carry her own liver cake to the shows with her!! Jenny even sent her a Barbie Pink collar and lead.....................

This is Rumour, our beautiful Large Munsterlander, looking less than pristine!! She has always been our "Showgirl", but in the last few months Jo has been trying to turn her into a "Working girl" All munsterlanders are very versatile, and I hope to show you this over the next few days................... "Eyes Right Munsterlanders"

Well at least this time we got five munsterlanders sitting in a straight line!! okay we had to remove Chilli and Brook from the line up, but we got these all sitting and staying (not for long!), and all looking the same way - just not AT the camera....... What happened? a car came down the lane, and the dogs were debating whether to break ranks and bark at it - or wait .................

"Many Musterlanders!"

What do you call a gathering of Munsterlanders? in this case probably the Mottley Crew, half of them are wet and muddy, and our obedience, ie mass sit and stay did not go according to plan! from left to right, we have Brook, the small one is Chilli, with Lex behind, then Seven, looking very fed up! Rumour is sitting slightly behind Seven, with Lana next to her - obscured by Zeb, the old man of the group!! We can do better, tune in tomorrow and see...........................

"Follow the Munsterlander"

Think this pic has been used before, BUT a favourite of mine, and today is the first birthday of these two puppies shown here, this is Chilli and Cash before they grew!! Bet they could now give Zeb a run for his money, and take that toy from him!! and would serve him right for teasing them!!!!!!!

From left to right, we have Large Munsterlanders! Brook (lying down! and hogging the limelight) Dylan, and Floyd sat towards the back, and Marli on the end....... This was taken at East of England Championship Show in 2005 by Jo. Brook lives here with me, but is co-owned by Sharon, who owns the other three munsters.... They all look so clean and shiny, but then, judging had only just finished.

How else can you describe this Munsterlander? This is Visa, belonging to Pete (and Jenny?) Moore, happy, alert and loved, she is never naughty (says Pete) any misdeeds are down to Cash, (Jennys munster!!) could be Pete is biased? but she is lovely..............

Having laughed at Dylan yesterday think it only fair to illustrate that he is a great showman too. Typical of a large Munsterlander, seems to be making his owner do all the running!! This is Sharon Miller making it all look effortless!

Well - it would be a little unfair to ask you to "name the Munsterlander" on this one! This is Sharon Miller's Dylan, illustrating a Large Munsterlander has a keen nose - and will follow it anywhere. This is hardly "Show Champion" behaviour is it Dyl?

Well Done to Sue Wood, who straightaway recognised the dog, and e-mailed the answer, it is indeed Flash, Datroy Saracen, (Ch. Axel Von Esterfeld of Raycris x Datroy Irresistable) a lovely pet - but not a working bone in his body! the only thing he would hunt for was his frisbee......... "What Munsterlander?"

Something a little different! Who can tell me the name, or the breeding of this dog? Obviously he is a Large Munsterlander! but does anyone recognise him? Only clue I will give is he is sadly no longer with us.

Many of you, who read the FORUM (Friends of Rescue and Unwanted Munsterlanders) will recognise this picture, as was in the last edition. However, it is such a lovely "feel good" pic I wanted to use it tonight. This is Dart, the large Munsterlander, with owner Brenda Miles, Dart was "Best Dog" at Brenda (and Stuarts!) recent wedding. Brenda has not been too well recently so let us all wish Brenda, Stuart, Benjamin (son) and Dart - health, happiness and good fortune in the future.

This is Jesse the Large Munsterlander from the Netherlands, who lives with Cindy and her partner, the other dog is a "rescue" crossbreed that Cindy took on, and gave it a chance, it is now happy and healthy and clearly close to Jesse.
