"New Year - new life"

Okay is not a Munsterlander, in fact is not a dog even!! BUT it is the other love in the life of Munsterlander owner Zoe Procommenos, who breeds, and rescues TORTOISES.......... I just found it fascinating, how small, but perfect, and I hope you do too. As this is the end of the year, and the end of the current series of photos of Munsterlanders Mungo and Molly, I thought would finish on a totally different note.......... and any tortoise problems? we can put you in touch!
We hope to provide more of a service to munsterlander owners, and would-be owners next year on the munstermag - and entertain you on the daily dog blog. HAPPY NEW YEAR (to most of you!!)

"Shall we dig?"

Oh dear - Molly the Large Munsterlander has grown up! which is more than can be said for the plants - they are looking a little -err - damaged? .......... Never underestimate the havoc a large Munsterlander, or two, can do to your garden!!

"Getting a bit overgrown?"

Molly, the Large Munsterlander belonging to Zoe Procommenos is perhaps thinking that the garden is getting out of hand! stuff just keeps growing despite her efforts! does she have a solution? she might just................................... tune in tomorrow.

"a bit of gardening?"

This is Molly again, the Large Munsterlander belonging to Zoe Procommenos, Molly is just wondering why that "thing" is poking through there like that - and maybe she should pull on it to see? I am sure she is quite a gardener in the making.......................

"When Mungo met Molly"

A new pup is always a source of interest and amazement - Mungo certainly seems captivated by Molly - and her being female, and him merely a male Munsterlander - well I am sure he will soon be under her paw!! Molly and Mungo - two much loved Munsterlanders belonging to Zoe Procommenos.

"All White?"

Large Munsterlander Mungo seems a little surprised by the scenery! things do not look quite right - more all white!! Mungo is one of the two Large Munsterlander owned and very much loved by Zoe Procommenos.

"Happy Christmas"

Mungo, the Large Munsterlander belonging to Zoe Procommenos, waiting for Santa - hope he, and all Munsterlanders, have a truly wonderful Christmas, with lots of pressies................. As I know Zoe quite well I can assure you all - Mungo and Molly will be well and truly spoilt this Christmas! (and every other day come to that!!!) but Zoe not only spoils her munsters - she is "into" tortoises!! and supports Large Munsterlander Rescue - a true animal lover........

"Remember sunny days?"

Not a very seasonal pic I am afraid, but still a very attractive pic, this is large Munsterlander Molly, belonging to Zoe Procommenos, "when she was small" investigating the garden on a sunny day, not many of those at the moment!! promise tomorrows pic will be more seasonal!

"Young Molly"

Even at an early age Munsterlanders are fascinated by water - at least on this occasion it is clean water! This is Molly, the other large Munsterlander owned by Zoe Procommenos, I shall use a series of photos, showing her as she grows up - she is almost one year old now!! Hope you like this one!!!

"That's better!"

We do not usually like to use pics that have been used before, but this is one that was in the 2004 Rescue Calendar, and it was too good not to be seen again, and it does illustrate how Mungo can go from horrible to gorgeous so fast - typical munster. Looks so sweet here, hard to imagine is the same dog. Tomorrow we will meet Molly - the other munsterlander in the life of Zoe Procommenos.

"Almost presentable"

Well perhaps not THAT presentable - but trying to clean some of the mud off - Mungo the Large Munsterlander after wallowing in the mud................. you can see he once was a black and white dog!! just!! Tomorrow we will show a sweet pic of Mungo - a Munsterlander is a many-sided animal...

"Not quite so fine today..........."

I can assure you this IS the same dog - Mungo - a Large Munsterlander belonging to Zoe Procommenos! He is just checking if mud IS good for the coat!! Munsters - don't you just love them??

"Introducing a fine handsome young man"

This is Mungo, a lovely example of a young male Munsterlander, look at the shine on his coat and the brilliant contrast between the black back and the white legs, happy and eager to go on his walk.... This is one of two large Munsterlanders owned by Zoe Procommenos, to see more of Mungo, or perhaps a different view of Mungo, tune in tomorrow folks...............

"In the swim"

Here's Fiona's Munster Otter again, enjoying his swim. I knew he would. Is he about to retrieve a stick?

"First Swim"

This is Large Munsterlander Otter, at 6 months old, about to take his first ever swim, on holiday in Scotland. I bet he took to it like a . . . . well, like a Munsterlander to water!

"Talented too"

Here Barbara Butler's Large Munsterlander Meadow demonstrates obedience and natural talent combined!! You could say she is Good, Beautiful and Clever........... last in the series of photos by Pam Ritchie of Barbara Butlers dogs - for now........ who, or what will it be next week?

"Full of Health and Vitality"

Large Munsterlander Meadow looks as if could do one of those dog food ads., you know the ones? as fit as a XXXXXXXX xxx., Meadow is the youngest of Barbara Butlers Munsters, and currently doing very well in the show ring - easy to see why.

"Sweet Meadow"

This is Meadow, a Large Munsterlander bitch belonging to Barbara Butler. Barbara describes Meadow as being "very easy, but does tend to get depressed by seasons" here she seems happy and very, very sweet. Barbara must be the kind of owner that caring breeders love to sell a puppy to, as the recent series of photos show all her dogs are loved and well cared for, and have lots of fun.

"Bow-wow-ing out"

This is Large Munsterlander Carla "B" bowing out - from tomorrow we will feature Meadow, another of Barbara Butlers family of munsters. You have to admit Carla "B" looks ready for anything that is thrown at her!! no doubt hoping for a ball game or something similar........

"no missing this one"

This is Carla "B" the Large Munsterlander belonging to Barbara Butler, she seems to be a very bright, and extrovert character! Loves to pose, and play! Happy and fun, fun, fun, as Barbara says.................. You can see it yourself, a bit of a live wire.......

"Where's he got to?"

And here's Val and Roger Perman's Molly again, enjoying a walk in the woods. Looks as if she's wondering where Tiger's got to.

"Spot the Munsterlander!"

Val and Roger Perman's Large Munsterlander, Molly trying to camouflage herself in the rocks, apparently. Makes a change from the usual Munster ploy of disguising themselves with mud!
Molly also appears in Munster Mag, and on the first page of the Munsterlanders in Scotland website, a companion site on the ichbinandelle LM Community.

"Perhaps............."

Perhaps Carla "B" is noisy and fun after all.......... she seems to be barking here at owner Barbara Butler as they practise "dog dancing" moves!! did not know the dog had to make the "music" itself!! but she certainly seems to think it is great fun - any others of you out there who do dog dancing with a Large Munsterlander? Jo and Lex tried it - but Lex was louder than Carla "B" ............. wasn't there a song " a little less conversation, a little more action"???

Carla 'B' as noisy, noisy but a sensitive soul and fun, fun, fun.......... she looks so angelic it is hard to believe she could be noisy, the fun part I can believe........ All these photos were taken by Pamela Ritchie, (as was Barbara's page this year for the Large Munsterlander Rescue Supporters Calendar) will have to take Pamela along to shows and things Barbara.... appoint her as Munsterlander notes photographer..........

Barbara Butler, when describing Hattie the large munsterlander, pictured above, said " a joy to live with - although a bossy breeches" She looks so sweet it is hard to believe she could be bossy!! an oldie but a goodie.............. to see more of Barbara's dogs tune in tomorrow......

We had Meadow last night, tonight we have another Munsterlander belonging to Barbara Butler, this is Carla B - why is she called Carla B? is it B for Butler, or is there a more "sinister" meaning to the name? Not quite sure what she is looking at, or for, but she seems to be taking it very seriously..................
