Readers of Munsterlander Notes, (the blog spin-off of Munstermag) will know that this morning I put up a picture of a dog, and asked "name that dog?" of the replies, four people thought it was Brook, the dog pictured above IS Brook - but is that the same dog?? Scenery is similar, Brook is wearing a red collar, but is it Brook on the other picture? Answer on the next edition of Munstermag..............

"The Andrex - Munsterlander!"
Bodica, auditioning for the Andrex ad? No, I do not think so!! Small Munsterlanders are bred for far more demanding tasks than that! In fact, very few Small Munsterlanders go into non-working homes, even in this Country. But large, or small, Munsterlander- they all like to go wherever their human goes........... and check out the facilities.

"Princess Munsterlander"
Back in the days when Rumour, or Barbie Girl as she was nicknamed, was a "Show Girl" Jenny jokingly sent us this bag - for Rumour to carry her liver cake in!! (Rumour would not "show" without her liver cake!) a long time since Rumour has been "in the ring" and thesedays more inclined to have a dummy (or a pheasant) in her mouth, but the basic principle of "hold" is still there.

"Same toy - different Munsterlander"
This is Large Munsterlander Heide, with her stuffed pheasant toy, obviously a very popular toy amongst Munsterlander owners! Heide is Rumours litter sister, and Rumour herself used to have a toy just like this - but Jo felt it was not "good for her" and insists on using "the real thing" thesedays................... Heide, however, is multi-talented herself, has taken an RCC this year, and has done well in competition obedience!! Perhaps she wants to add "Gundog training" to her CV.,

"Munster toys...... or not"
This is Tula again, the Large Munsterlander belonging to Lea Fellows and family. Readers of our blog on www.munstermag.homestead.com will know we have been inviting people to send us photos of dogs "with other pets" today - following on from yesterdays pic of Tula and Webber. However, this is not a real pheasant! Not sure as any munster could be photographed with a real live pheasant ............ could they???? Anyone going to prove me wrong??

"Munster Bunny"
This is Tula, the Large Munsterlander belonging to Lea Fellows and family. Tula demonstrates that munsters can live happily side by side with other animals! The rabbit is called Webber!! Have to admit not sure as my dogs could be trusted that close to a rabbit, but then, like everything else - if they are taught from the beginning it can work!

"Wet Munsterlanders"
Linda and Tina Williamson (are you two related?) went to a small Open show at the weekend - and afterwards the dogs went for a paddle in the sea! As Linda says "which do you think they enjoyed most?" This is (in no particular order!) Chance & Seska, belonging to Linda, and Yeolas and China belonging to Tina. Not sure as I spelt the dogs name right there - but am sure someone will correct me!!

"Munsterlander and friend"
The bluebells in the West of Scotland are wonderful just now, don't they look gorgeous? and so do the dogs!! Apparently this photo of Molly and Tiger was taken this morning in the woods. This is the place where owner Val Perman walks them several times a week, and is only 5 minutes' drive from her house, Val counts herself lucky to live near such beautiful woods - so do we - what wonderful dog walking country.

"Small and Sweet Munsterlander"
This is Bodica, the Small Munsterlander belonging to Suzanne. Readers of our other blog (on www.munstermag.homestead.com and munsternotes) may have read the tale (or tail!!) of the visitor staying - and Bodica taking her pants as a trophy - but here - she looks so angelic!!

"Mucky Munsterlander"
This is Linda Williamson's dog, Chance, in her back garden, or what's left of it! They had just got back from a walk where the dogs had decided to go into the potato field! which was a bit wet and muddy (it had been raining all day) Linda decided not to bath him as he will be bathed later in the week to get ready for SKC. At least dry Munsters are easy to brush! But he may take quite a bit of cleaning up for a show!!

"Veteran Munsterlander"
This is Seven, one of our six Munsterlanders! Seven is now - Seven (!) years old, and therefore officially a Veteran........ try telling her that - she is still the leader of the pack!! Seven is so-called because my husband is a Star Trek fan (sad but true) and I agreed to the name - to get her in the door!!

"Munsterlanders swimming - puppy doggy paddle!"
Look very carefully, how many Munsterlanders can you see swimming! These are three of Sharon Millers dogs, Sharon and her dogs go to the hydrotherapy pool once a week, the dogs love it - and Jovi did not want to be left out! Here she is in the pool with Floyd and Dylan. Jovi was not supposed to be going in the pool, but she had a life-jacket on - in case fell in!! She ran down the ramp into the shallow end - and loved it, and insisted on joining the big boys!! Not for long we hasten to add!!! and all her own choice!!!

"Munsterlanders Meeting"
From left to right, Moss, Chloe, Mitch, Seska and Chance. Three belong to Linda Williamson, (Chloe, Seska and Chance) and two, Mitch and Moss are Chance's brothers "visiting" from Forfar. Linda tells me "As you can see they all get on quite well, apart from Chance and Moss who used to live together. Chance feels that he has to put Moss in his place. Once they've got over the initial growling everything is fine". Well Linda, boys will be boys, and a bit of posturing and grumbling is only natural..... bit like men really!! But it really is a lovely photo, and shows just what Munsters are all about.

"Munsterlander Abroad"
Had an e-mail from Andrea in Sweden: "Jinni, my Munsterlander, and I have a new buddy and it has worked out very well as you can see from these pictures. Freddie is a Holy Birma kitten, now 13 weeks, and since he came, Jinni is actually sleeping better at nights! (Cross my fingers). Jinni wags her tail at Freddie and greets him apart from that she doesn't pay him much attention - except when she watches some of his capers". Thanks for that Andrea, they certainly seem very relaxed together.

"Meeting a Munsterlander Puppy"
This is an older picture, showing Lotte (yesterdays daily dog!) as a young pup, boldly introducing herself to the older dog, Connor. Connor was a rescue/rehomed boy 5 years ago when he was 4 years old. Rosie tells me she got Lotte as a puppy and her party piece, when young, was jumping up and down to move her crate across the kitchen so that she could get near the ironing basket - she then pulled the clothes through the cage holes and shredded the items!! What a Sweetie!!

"Munsterlander in the - sink!!"
This is Lotte, or Tara’s Treasure of Knightland, she is 3 years old and is proudly owned by Rosie Penna, who also has another munster called Connor (more pics tomorrow!) apparently both are typical munsters and spend two hours a day on the local park, (and no ordinary park, a huge country park!) from which they come home covered in gorse and mud – hence the need for this purpose built sink!! Judging from the expression on Lotte’s face she is not sure such a good idea!!!
