"Munsterlander Temptation"
This is another photo from Norway, taken by Henning Svendson. Look closely at the right hand side of the picture you will see what the dog is doing! I assume this is a training exercise - similar to what Jo and Rumour have had to do in the "Rabbit pen" at Rory Majors - the dog IS on the lead - and is learning what he cannot do!!

"Munsterlander Action"
For the next few days I will be using some photos from Norway, courtesy of Line Ormen and Henning Svendsen, the photographer. These are some pictures of Norwegian and Swedish Large Munsterlanders. Some of the pictures are from a walk in the forest, and some of them are from a field-training event in Sweden. I just love this picture, the energy and the grace of movement of a munster on the move.......

"Weekend Munsterlander"
This is Theo belonging to John Thorn, who says "Just in case you haven't got enough pics(!) here's another one of Theo in the woods near Ross-on-Wye (where we have a second property) Notice the steam!" Well I do have plenty of pics - but this one really caught my eye today, very much a feel good pic for the weekend! A munster off to do what munsters DO so well!!!

"Munsterlander Meadow"
Well the dog is called Meadow! and obviously she is not in a meadow - looks like she is in a field of sugar beet(?) She is often called Sweet Meadow - and she belongs to Barbara Butler. She is a show-girl and family pet, and is perhaps in training to be a working girl? like her half-sister Rumour!! She certainly seems to be "working" that field!!

"Munsterlanders in Scotland"
This is Curtis and Mia, surveying their territory!! Like the way the sun seems to shine on their bit - but is dull down in the valley!! Certainly a very picturesque part of the World, and provides the munster with a great deal of space and fun!! More pics of Curtis and Mia taken this weekend on the munstermag - and Munsternotes blogspot.

"Mommy Munsterlander"
This is Meadow the Munsterlander - with her "adopted baby" Spooky, the red setter. Meadow belongs to Barbara Butler (or Barbara Butler belongs to Meadow?) and Spooky is owned by Barbara's friend Julie. To see more of Spooky and Meadow go to the munsternotes blog spot and see Barbara's latest montage.

"Slightly Familiar Munsterlander"
Having used the picture of Floyd yesterday, thought would use this one of Brook tonight! They both seem to have that slightly "perplexed" look about them! the "do what?" look........ they are very similar in pedigree, both having the same father (Tarkanya Magic Master) and both have an Ichbin Mum.....

"Slightly Puzzled Munsterlander"
This is Floyd, Sh. Ch. Yeldoaks Hot Pursuit JW. ShCM, owned by Sharon Miller - Floyd is a lovely natured dog - but always looks somewhat puzzled!! "You want me to do what?" At home his nick-name is Flopsy...... because he will go and flop down and wait........ until told what to do!!
Poor Flops - but bit of a star in the ring!!! Photo by Brian Eastgate. thank you.

"Munsterlander with Pride"
This is a picture from Mari in Finland. She says she has read the conversation in Munster Mag about using pictures of working dogs, this is one where the animal is NOT in the mouth of the LM and where the animal is NOT dead...:) This happened last January, when I was out with my munsters. We were in the city-area - just usual walking in the morning. Tara stayed behind us and later started to bark - I turned back and found Tara with the raccoon dog, she did not kill it. This is Dixon later - also guarding it - but not killing it.

On the Munstermag "notes" blog - our friend Lori from the US, thought she recognised the dog last night - so tonight we include the handler! this is William with young Max! from Vicksburg., USA. Were you right Lori? Would like to thank William for joining in and allowing us to use his photos to show the working nature of the breed!

"Is it the same Munsterlander?"
On recent cards I have used some pics of Curtis - and people have asked me "is it Zeb?" so - can you tell the difference? I know I can, and I am sure Christine can! (this is my Zeb I hasten to point out!!!) but they do have a similar look and expression to them - of course they both have lovely dark brown eyes (as the breed standard states they should have!!) so is that it? either way - both are wonderful examples of the breed.

"Working Munsterlander"
This is a photo that Brian Eastgate took of Floyd at a working test - Floyd has proved he can work - he "works" on a local shoot in the winter as well as taking part in working tests in the Summer - Perhaps it is time that Floyd started doing Field Trials - to try and become the first munsterlander with the Sh.CM title after his name but WITHOUT the Sh. at the front, ie he could become Ch. Yeldoaks etc., .........

"Belly-up Munsterlander"
This is Floyd - or Sh. Ch. Yeldoaks Hot Pursuit JW. Sh. CM. ? Please note the last four letters!! There are only two dogs, in our breed, to have achieved this Show Certificate of Merit to date (the first was Oska, or Sh. Ch. Raycris Rather Special JW., Sh.CM., owned by Caz Trowsdale). It can all go belly-up from now on as far as Floyd is concerned!! Floyd is, of course, proudly owned, and much loved by Sharon Miller.

"Munsterlander of Mine!"
This is Seven, my "leader of the pack" the judge did not like her yesterday - but Seven liked her day out - and loved her handler of the day - Lorraine!! Seven is a strong character and has her likes and dislikes - she was well happy to go off with Lorraine! considering Seven IS seven years old she could certainly beat many around that ring - if not in that ring!!! She absolutely stormed around - fit, fast and sound!!!
