"Munsterlander and Mates"
A Munsterlander, a cat and a buffalo - quite an everyday family group kind of picture? well - only if you are Ali and the Blitzans............. However, it is lovely to see a munster can get along with other animals! does not have to chase everything they see etc., etc., nice bit of PR for the breed.

"Munsterlander Camouflage"
This is Fynn again, illustrating how all too oftens all you see of a munster is it's tongue, or it's tail!! it is either in your face or racing off into the distance!!!!!!!!! however, in this photo Fynn is managing to show tongue AND tail (although that is a bit of a blur - as moving so fast!) the very essence of munsterlander!! Thanks to Kerry for sharing these photos, hope you have enjoyed them as much as I have!!

"Munsterlander all terrain"
Looks a bit as though Fynn is "walking on the moon" what a strange background surface! I realise it is the shore line somewhere - but so convoluted - well, is either the moon - or the surface of the brain!! or is it just my weird imagination this morning? Still we do say Munsters get into your head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a lovely pic from Kerry of her Fynn.

"Munsterlander water-point"
This is Fynn, owned by Kerry, on holiday - I believe in the Lake District, seen here interrupting his paddle for a quick bit of "pointing" something has obviously caught his attention in the undergrowth! Fynn is not a working gun-dog - although clearly bred for the job!! but he "works" at flyball and obedience! and very well he is doing too!! Versatile you see!!!!

"Surprising Munsterlander"
This is an old photo of Rumour as a puppy! Who would have thought that this pup would have made such an impact? She gained her Show Champion Title at Crufts in 2005 - and lost the Sh. bit in November 2006! Not just gaining her title as Champion - but doing it twice in one week!! A SGWC on the Monday, and a Field Trial Award on the Saturday...........

"Autumnal Munsterlander"
Another picture from John Thorn, featuring his dog Theo. Loved this one so much - felt it deserved to be used twice!! liked the "bigger picture" showing the scenery and the colours, perfect background for a munster! but then loved the effect of the image reflected on the water, and because the image was in high resolution was able to crop and get the full effect!! John tells us that seconds after this pic was taken - the inevitable happened - and Theo jumped in!!

"Pensive Munsterlander"
Danny looks almost to be in a World of his own! or maybe just contemplating which "wee" message to follow next!!! Actually the picture is Dan on a "Wait" -apparently he was a bit annoyed that his owner did not want to let him chase off again! so that is a sulky look he has on there!!!! (the you-have-annoyed-me I will not look at you kind of thing!!!)

"Paddling Munsterlander"
This is Rumour, taking a break from her training yesterday!! What is it with Munsters? See a puddle and have to "test" it................. in the background we have the wide open spaces of Lincolnshire fenland... yet Rumour appears to prefer to hunt in dense cover!!!!!!! ummmmm not a lot of that in front of us!

"Danny Munsterlander"
This is Danny again, Claire tells me now she has a digital camera we can expect lots of pics of him! (and I look forward to them!!) However, she said of my comment yesterday "Think you know what I meant... wee-mail as in like e-mail! Just the doggie way of picking up messages from friends!" I always wondered what that little word meant!! Anyway here is Danny - taking his daily dip (and sip) in our local loch today. It's getting colder up here so he didn't go in for the full swim for a change... just a quick paddle!

"Another Munsterlander - in Scotland"
This is Danny dog owned by Claire who says "I have got a new job -working from home and Danny dog is loving it! He can stay cosy in his bed while I get on with work -he also gets out in the local area more to pick up his "wee-mail" more regularly. Anyway -just took this picture today and thought it was good enough for you to use somewhere". It is lovely thank you Claire - but what is wee mail? or do I hazard a guess??

"Two Munsterlanders - a world apart"
Neither picture is very clear you may say - but both pictures show a munster in it's "element" both hunting in the long grass, both with white tail just about visible, both wearing a red collar, but - a world apart! - one hunting in a Country park near Boston in Lincolnshire, and one hunting in the wide open spaces of America.....

"Hunting Munsterlander"
This is Harley in the US., Photo from his owner Pat in Upstate New York who tells me " I thought this picture should be called "spot the Munsterlander" . We had just finished duck hunting with 4 nice retrieves - Harley's third time ever hunting- and we let him run the woods to see if he'd find a Grouse. He is so filled with joy and energy I could barely get him on film". I love this photo, I considered cropping it, but felt "lost" the "energy" so am going to include it - as is - and - do something completely different.............................

"Munsterlander wear"
This is another picture from Henning, I find it very puzzling - WHY do so many of the dogs wear these jackets? I admit I do not work dogs - but Jo is trying to - and all the information leaflets etc., advise wearing dark, unobtrusive clothing, so as not to scare game - yet abroad so many dogs wear these - can anyone explain it to me?

"Munsterlander on top"
Bit of an attention grabbing headline - but an attention grabbing picture, beautiful scenery down below and a classic munsterlander on the hill. No prizes for guessing the dog - clearly Curtis - can even see the black spot on his tongue!! Master of all he surveys? Nah - not really - he is a bit of a softie really! lovely nature and temperament.

"Happy Munsterlander"
This is Christine Weber's boy - Curtis - with a stick! rather a large "stick" - but he seems rightfully proud of it! You can see he has his eye on the camera - bit difficult to pose with a huge branch in your mouth - but he is managing it!! and seems to be moving at quite a speed too - certainly striding out!!

"Morning Daily Munsterlander"
I have now decided to change Daily Dog in the morning, rather than the evening! and what a wonderful picture to make the change with! an absolute classic photo from Henning Svendsen.
Many of Henning's pictures have been used to support our British Rescue organisation, it is so kind that people take time out to think of those less fortunate than themselves.
