Nice colours in the scenery of this one, and a big contrast (in weather conditions!) from yesterdays pic. This is Ben, belonging to David Bishop, Ben is a very lucky "Rescue" dog! Bit of a co-incidence finding this in my e-mails this morning as yesterday I was talking to Jean Stone - about encouraging prospective owners to come forward - and Mr. Bishop was mentioned, we were hoping he could tell us his "positive" experiences of adopting in a forthcoming FORUM mag. This pic is pretty positive I think!!!

"Munsterlander in the Snow"
Snowy (Snowy Oaks Desi!) by name - and Snowy Desi by - weather!!! Seems it is still very cold in Dakota - with fresh snow. Desi seems pleased to be out in it - I do not think my dogs have ever seen so much snow !!! I think the last time we had "serious" snow in this part of Lincolnshire was about 20 years ago!! Cannot say I would enjoy this much and for this long - although the dogs might!

"Munsterlander Siblings"
This is Heide and Visa, belonging to Elaine, and Jenny. It was taken at Windsor champ. show a couple of years back, back in the days when we had that lovely, covered, central ring! I like the photo because it always makes me think of bookends!!!! This picture was first used in a Large Munsterlander Rescue Calendar a couple of years ago.

"All in a days walk for a Munsterlander!"
This is Theo - out and about on his Daily Walk!! Owner John apologises for the slightly blurred effect to the bottom photo, but we feel is worth using t0 illustrate Theo's idea of a good time!! Duck Hunting???!! Theo is litter brother to Zak - featured yesterday - they met on these pages!! ahhhhhhh sweet!!

"Munsterlander head - and legs!"
Such a wonderfully mature head and expression! and such gloriously unco-ordinated legs!! mmmmm that beautiful head does not seem to be explaining to his body about which was he wants to go!! or perhaps just in too much of a hurry to go every which way!!! The gorgeous Zak in action...................... I love this dog!!!

"Munsterlander Walks"
I think Zak here illustrates just how a munster likes to be exercised, a nice sniff and paddle in a bit of water, a bit more mud would maybe be appreciated! then a fast gallop across a good field! Never mind 4 x 4's - a Munsterlander could be advertised as "all terrain dogs"................. Thanks to owner Russ for sharing these photos (and also for the other pics and article) really do appreciate it!!!!

"Munsterlander Water Madness"
Where there is water there is Rumour! Of all our dogs this one is the keenest on "Water Sports" which has been very handy for Jo on Field Trial days - the Water Test is the one thing she is fairly sure Rumour will do - no matter what!!!! Some of our dogs, eg. Brook, like to paddle and wallow, but leave feet firmly on the ground........... Whereas Brook would happily stay in the big puddle, Rumour is just on her way back from the river!!

"Munsterlander Ben"
Ben, seen here enjoying the water on a sunny afternoon, is one of the lucky ones, he was taken in by the Large Munsterlander Rescue organisation and, after some medical care, was adopted by Mr. David Bishop. I am sure Mr. Bishop will tell you all how rewarding it is to "take in" a Rescue dog - so please - go and look at the pics of Maddie on the other blog - and see if you can help??

"Munsterlander Mother and Daughter"
This is Freya, top, before she came to live in England, (Freya was born and bred in Sweden!) and below is her daughter, Jovi, born and bred in England! They do look as though trying to "re-create the pose" As soon as I saw the pic of Jovi this week I had to trawl back through my files to try and find the one above!! What do you think?

"Small Munsterlander"
This is Bodica, a Small Munsterlander, belonging to Suzanne in the West Midlands. We have been discussing the weather, and comparing conditions over here to those of our friends in the US., I think this photo illustrates our weather!! Mud, mud, (not so) glorious mud!! But - Bodica looks happy with it all......

"Winter Wonderlander Munsterlander"
This photo is from Norway - The dog is Lea. Her owner is Anniken, and the photographer is Ernst Evensen. Lea is a rescue dog herself who was traumatised by her early beginnings, with a lot of hard work and dedication by Anniken she is now a happy and healthy girl. Taking on a rescue dog can be challenging - but worthwhile.
Thank you for this lovely photo (Jo has "saved the other photos for cards or calendar use!!)

"Three Munsterlanders"
The subject line in the e-mail caught my attention - then I looked at the photo and smiled! Owner Lesley Jenkins says "Attached is a photo of Polly and Bess and our young cat Alfie, who thinks he’s a Munster. Not just any Munster, but top Dog!!!"
Another title for this photo could be "The cat has it!!!!"

"Still snow for this Munsterlander"
Desi in Dakota - her owner tells us they still have quite a bit of snow on the ground (and that really is quite a long period of time!) Their snow is crunchy now and as Lori says "is not going anywhere for a while" - the snow that is - not them! funny how those abroad seem to cope with snow so much easier than us!!

"Munsterlanders in the Cold"
The great Curtis demonstrates the little dog lost look! but don't worry folks - this is certainly a dog who is not left out in the cold!! Nor is the cute puppy - Marli - ever left out in the cold - but don't they look appealing? in a sort of gather me up and take me home kind of way?? Sadie joins in the "look" too..... Munsterlanders have that great ability to look so loveable - but act pathetic!!

"Resting Munsterlanders"
Our bed catches the sun in the afternoon, and our dogs are usually walked in the morning, they like nothing better than "crashing out" in the afternoon, on the bed! I do like to join them - but oftens a bit difficult to get in first!!! the bed settee on the end is like an "extension" takes the overspill - or whoever is not fast enough to get the prime position!!

"Munsterlander Molly with Tiger"
No, not with A tiger! but with Tiger - the Goldie - who does not look as though he lives up to his namesake!! he looks a total sweetie!! This photo was taken recently on their daily walk - and if you look closely you can see the spring flowers! Very impressive looking background too! These two beautiful dogs belong to Val and are lucky to be walked in her local country park, surrounding Mugdock castle (14th century for those of you historians!!)

"Munsterlander feeling better"
This is Harry, the Large Munsterlander that has had a bad problem with his leg in the last couple of weeks. Owner Micheal sent me this picture of him "convalescing!"
I have cropped the photo as his leg is still very, very sore - but I can assure you - having seen the photo in its entirety - the dog is a hero!! As is Christine Ogle of the Raycris affix - for her help, intervention and advice.

"Munsterlander X Factor"
No matter who bred a Large Munsterlander puppy, out of what bitch and by what dog, they are ALL so cute - would be very hard to say no to! Which is why it is so important they are all found GOOD homes, because every home wants one - but are they all suitable? I am sure this little pup, and his litter mates, will be found the very best of homes! and they all deserve it - I could take this one myself!!!

"Munsterlander Sob Story"
Cannot decide whether Danny dog is saying "look Mum there is no food in this bowl" OR whether he is thinking "this is an awful small bed!!" but either way - he's going for the sympathy vote!! What an expression? is this just a particularly expressive dog? or is his owner very good at catching him unawares? either way Thank You to Claire for sharing her pics of her wonderful boy!!!
