This is Wendy, running a dog at Darlington champ. show last year. Wendy is a great little mover!!!! (and look - she is watching her dog at all times!!!) She always complains though that our camera makes her looker shorter and fatter than she really is!! To see more of Wendy & her dogs have a look at Munsters at Large blog on www.munstermag.homestead.com

"A Munsterlander coming at you"
Remember the song? "What's that coming over the hill? Is it a munster?" (well okay the song actually was "a monster") Well yes, Ben the rescue boy, owned by Dr. Bishop. David Bishop has kindly written an article for the next issue of FORUM extolling the virtues of taking on a Rescue dog - him and Ben certainly seem very happy with each other!!

"Munsterlander pup, home with her Breeder"
For all of those who have asked me what has happened to puppy Nova, well, she is home with her "Mum" and seems well happy with herself and with the adult dogs, (seen here with Jazz) it is always difficult when things do not seem to work out with a new family and their new pup., but the fairest thing to do is send it back to it's breeder, maybe this little girl just did not want to leave her Mum!!!! I must admit I do so like this pup - and if it wasn't so far away..........................

"Munsterlander on board"
This is Mia, a large Munsterlander belonging to Kirstie in the south of England. She looks quite happy watching the world float by - I do notice she is on a lead - and wonder if the owner would still be in the boat if a duck swam past................. bet Katie can instantly "see" a cartoon in that! but a lovely looking young bitch, happy with her life and family.

"Munsterlanders around the World"
A Munsterlander loves a cuddly toy, whether in England (top pic) Leah and her toy, or the US (bottom pic) Desi and her "birthday treat" toy. Be the dog (or bitch in this case!) very white (Leah) or very dark (Desi) they are just the same, here, or there, or anywhere!! The one thing that links all munsters around the world is their nature and temperament! May that never change!!!!!

"Large Munsterlander Puppies"
Dotty (Wintersmorn Immaculate at Abbotsbourne) and Harry (Tanzenbach Water Boatman) are the "producers" of these beautiful puppies. This picture was taken by breeder/owner Sarah at nine days old. This is one of our first "featured litters" on Munstermag. Born on gundog day at Crufts - an omen for the future? all little winners? We look forward to more pictures as they grow up.

"Wearing the Large Munsterlander"
As fashion accessories go - this "scarf" is very attractive!! We often joke you do not just say "hello" to a Munsterlander - you wear it!!! they do like to be up close and personal!! This is Bruce, owned by Lynn and Rob - all I can say Rob is "You wear it well" (maybe your name should be Rod? - as is Stewart?)

"Munsterlander Log-up-man-ship"
Thursday we had pictures of Ziggy in the ring, and then "out and out about with a bit of wood" and Friday we had Rumour in the ring and then "out and about etc., " in a hilarious bit of one-upmanship (or logupmanship) Tony Hutchings sent me these pics of Ziggy - clearly not wanting to be outdone by the size of the bit of wood.................... a case of a "Working Munsterlander" or "is my tree bigger than yours?" I had intended to carry on the Crufts theme - but had to give in and use these!!

"Muscled Munsterlander"
Yesterday we had Ziggy with his bit of wood, and then in the ring, today - we have Rumour! Top pic taken yesterday at the Res., where we exercise them, Rumour nearly always finds something to carry, bits of wood, old shoes, old toys, whatever - this one was rather heavy though!! BUT the Judge for Crufts did comment, favourably, on her "hard" condition, perhaps this is Rumours idea of a "work-out" using more "natural" weights.

"Munsterlander Ziggy"
Tony Hutchings sent me the top picture yesterday, his wife, Jackie says "Ghyllbeck Pallidus in an upright position and without a tree in his mouth - winning Post Graduate dog at Crufts with handler Lynn Smallbone". Well - thought I would include the pic of the tree in the mouth too - just to illustrate how multi-talented Ziggy really is......................

"Veteran Munsterlander"
This was another photo added, belatedly, to the slide show. It shows Julie Dowden and her boy Hansmic Ash of Chontelle, or Joe, in Veteran Dog at Crufts. Joe is almost eleven years old and a credit to his owner!! This photo was taken by Mick Day of MMG Guards., and we feel dog, and owner (and the photographer!) need further acknowledgement!!!!

"Junior Munsterlander Handler"
As I used the lovely Dylan yesterday - I thought would use James and Prima (?) today, both Blitzan bred, Dylan is now nine and a half years old and Prima is about 12 months old. Handler James was just a baby when Dylan was born, so he has grown up with munsters. Bit of an "old hand" really!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blitzan Ragamuffin w0n Veteran Dog at Crufts on Thursday, of course, in the past Dylan has won Best Dog in Breed at Crufts! but this year, he was just happy to take part!! You may all remember Dyl from my show reports of last year, because entered or not, he always had to be included!!!!

"Munsterlander Huntress"
This photo is from Lynn, who tells me the story behind this picture of Raycris Royal Serenade "Got asked if Skye was still with us and OK, so, as she is in a few pedigrees, wondered if you could include her photo - doing a bit of "mole control" on her twelfth birthday". Certainly can Lynn (include it I mean!) Skye is happily still with us, and in full control of her faculties!!! A true "Golden Oldie!"

We shall have to wait and see - Good Luck to all who are going......No Daily Dog tomorrow (but then you have had several this week!). Back on Friday.

"Rockfest Large Munsterlanders at Crufts"
Sharon Millers dogs are all going to Crufts! She does have an affix, although no plans to breed a litter for many years, as she says her circumstances are not right, (single parent!!!!!!) However, her dogs, from top to bottom, Dylan, (Sh. ch. Blitzan Ragamuffin) Marli (Ichbin Pagus of Rockfest), Floyd (Sh. Ch. Yeldoaks Hot Pursuit JW. Sh. CM) and Jovi (Ichbin Solarspirit of Rockfest) will all be there for Crufts.....
