'This is my first LM, Jagermatt's Chinook 'Ike'. He was born and bred in North America. His sire was Nico v. Eichenhof, a German import. I trained and qualifed him with a prize in our first utility test when he was 29 months old. He lived to be 14 years 6 months without illness and passed away in his sleep. He was a fantastic hunting dog! Not only with a great nose, but great ability as to how to use his nose.... Ike is pointing a ruffed grouse in northern Wisconsin on a foggy day among the aspen trees as he did so many times.... At home I still have LM Honi who is 15 years 7 months and LM Brenda who is 12 years 8 months (Brenda is daughter of Bianka from Austria - she is still hunting with me). I'm planning on some new LMs joining me soon.... Cheers Howard' Thank you so much for your contribution Howard. Munsterlander connections - yesterday's daily dog, Bunny is a granddaughter of Bianka who was also owned by Ulrike.

"Munsterlander Skilled Retriever"
From a technically brilliant photo yesterday to a low res mobile phone image today. This photo appeared on the 'Munsterlanders at Large' blog and is of Large Munsterlander Rumour owned by Jo Banks who will retrieve just about anything she can pick up. It's a motorcycle seat by the way in case you were wondering! Any other Munsterlanders out there avid scrap collectors?

"Munsterlander August in August"
Well August the month has well and truly been and gone but this is August the Large Munsterlander belonging to Christian Bakke in Norway. And this stunning photograph was taken by Ernst Evensen. Another photo of August taken by Ernst featured in a calendar we produced, the 'Munsterlanders at Large' Calendar - in what month? You guessed it, August!

"Munsterlanders spoilt for choice"
'Hello everyone just thought I'd send a couple of photos of Floyd and Ozzy enjoying their new home in Kent. We have lovely beaches and woods close by so dogs having lots of good walks.' Gill. By coincidence we were discussing favourite walks on the 'Munsterlanders at Large' blog yesterday and these two boys certainly seem well off in that respect.

"Munsterlander forever cherished"
'This is our Ralph. We lost him on Saturday 3rd November 2007. He was knocked down by a speeding car outside our house and passed away on my lap on the way to the Royal Veterinary College, Hatfield. He was loved by everyone who met him and was truly the best pet imagineable, a wonderful mix of kindness, loyalty, playfulness and stupidity. John, Nazeing, England.' Our deepest sympathies John.

"Munsterlander Autumn Walk"
'Although we live in inner city urban Birmingham we are very lucky to have, just 10 minutes away, Sutton Park, 2400 acres of woodland, shrubland and wetland, that the dogs just adore.' Thanks Sarah.
